SMARA Board Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by President Mike KB2VQS, present were James N2UZQ, Tim WA2QAC, April (Secretary), and Becky KC2BYZ. Motion made to accept December Minutes, Minutes accepted by all board members.
Treasurer Report:

Checking $1136.30

Petty Cash $74.56

Repeater Fund $222.00

Total $1210.86

Radio Room Report

Board discussed the following:

Watch for an email coming your way. If your club dues are past due you will be getting a friendly reminder. All dues will be owed by Jan 1st to stay active in SMARA.

Inventory of Radio room has been started will continue into January.

James N2UZQ did purchase a licensing book ( for Training Classes ) the training classes will start in January after kids club meeting.

Briefly talked about Field Day 2009- looking for someone who would like to chair next years event.

Coming SMARA Events for the New Year are as follows:

1/4/08 Kids Day at the Schenectady Museum-Unfortunitly ARRL had the wrong date. We did speak to the musuem of this.

1/8/08 On Air Business Meeting 7:30 PM 146.790 motion will be made about the on air meeting ending and the business meeting being held at the social meetings. please be on if you want your opinion considered.

01/15/08 SOCIAL MEETING Thursday 7:30 pm at the Schenectady Museum. We will be having Pizza. Everyone who would like to participate we will have a donation jar to help pay for the food.

January 17th and 18th- ARRRL- January VHF Sweepstakes.

January 24th 12-1pm KIDS CLUB INFORMATIONAL MEETING.

New Business
Talk about the repeater, 440, hook up to link with chatam, echo link with Grafton? Welcoming QWCA members. Field day will be June 27-28 looking for Chairperson and members to help set up meeting to discuss details will be scheduled soon. Talking about a 4-alpha station this year.
