SMARA Board Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by President Mike KB2VQS, present were James N2UZQ, Tim WA2QAC, Becky KC2BYZ, Tony W2BEJ and April. Motion made to accept April Minutes, Minutes accepted by all board members.

Treasurer Report:

Checking	$1637.30
Petty Cash	$101.08
Repeater Fund	$222.00
Total	$1738.38

Treasurer Report accepted by all board members.

Radio Room Report

Need to work on EQSO station, antenna in bad shape.

Board discussed the following:

Field Day 2008. Next Field Day meeting to be announced. Contact our Field Day Chairman James N2UZQ at n2uzq@hotmail.com if you are interested in assisting with Field Day.

We have 10 confirmed volunteers, all antennas are set but one.

May 8, 2008 is the final day to order your field day shirts, please contact James at n2uzq@hotmail.com to inform if you are planning on helping to set-up, operate, and/or tear-down WE ARE AVIDLY ENCOURAGING MEMBERS TO INCLUDE THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS IN PARTICIPATING IN FIELD DAY. Town of Rotterdam has approved the site for Field Day.

Coming SMARA Events are as follows:

• ON AIR BUSINESS MEETING 7:30 PM THURSDAY May 8, 2008 146.790
• SOCIAL MEETING 7:30 PM THURSDAY May 15, 2008 SCHENECTADY MUSEUM. Food theme for the social meeting will be Pizza. Members are encouraged to bring deserts.
• SMARA 2008 Field Day June 28 & 29 Kiwanis Park Rotterdam JCT.

We have opened a new PO Box that costs less per year than the old one. The address is as follows:
