Meeting called to order by President Becky KC2BYZ, present were Becky KC2BYZ, Mike KB2VQS, Tim WA2QAC, Tony W2BEJ. Motion made to accept April Minutes, Minutes accepted by all board members.
Treasurer Report:
Treasurer Report accepted by the board.
Checking $1175.94 Petty Cash $23.31 Repeater Fund $222.00 Total $1199.25
Letter of resignation received from SMARA Vice President Bob Krasnoff KF4UVA. Letter accepted by all Board members. Tony W2BEJ has agreed to finish out the term of Vice President. Board approved, awaiting membership approval at regular meeting.
Radio Room ReportRadio Room Officer report: Mike KB2VQS reports that the G5RV is out of service. Barry WA2CW has been made aware and repairs are pending. Gerry WA2IWW is working on getting copies of the W2IR station license so the EQSO station can be put back into service.
Field DayMike KB2VQS still to make contact with Town of Rotterdam and Rotterdam Police for Field Day site. Mike KB2VQS asked for $200 out of the treasury for Field Day expenses to include all food, soda, ice, a second screen tent, new grill, and a table. Mike KB2VQS proposed a separate purchase of ARRL Field Day T-shirts to be purchased by the club for members who sign up to operate on Field Day and attend Field Day and make a contact. T-Shirt cost is $12.95 per shirt. The above to be approved by the membership at the next regular business meeting.
On air regular business meeting to be held at 7:30 pm Thursday May 10, 2007 on the 146.790 repeater.
May Social meeting to be held at Studio 3 of the Schenectady Museum on Thursday May 17, 2007 at 7:30 pm. Food is pizza, please bring something to share with others. A club flea market is to take place at 7 pm and is a member's only event to sell donated equipment to SMARA members prior to equipment being sold on Ebay or at the Saratoga Ham Fest in September.

- New York State Invention Convention held in the lobby of the Schenectady Museum on Saturday June 9th 2007 12 pm – 4pm. SMARA to set up a table with a power point presentation related to Amateur Radio. An internet linking demo. And a morse code demonstration.
- National Kids Day Open House. SMARA Radio Room Saturday June 16th 2007 12 pm – 4 pm.
- SMARA Field Day Kiwanis Park Rotterdam Jct, June 23rd and June 24th 2007.
- SMARA Club Picnic August 4th Shaker Road Firehouse 12 pm – 6 pm.
