SMARA Board Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by President Mike KB2VQS present were President Mike KB2VQS, Vice President James N2UZQ, Treasurer Tim WA2QAC, and April (Secretary), Motion made to accept April Minutes, the minutes were accepted by all board members.

Treasurer Report:

Checking	$1219.73
Petty Cash	$156.26
Repeater Fund	$222.00
Total	$1375.99

Radio Room Report

Looking for a Radio Room Officer and Committee members for the Radio Room.

Mike Maloy,Tim Moody,Dan Miller,and Darren Devall all worked on the radio room last weekend. They removed the desk that was in the radio room. The items that were on the desk are now in the white console. This console has been moved to where the desk was. Darren is getting grounding plates to ground all radios. We will be getting molding. Everything has been labeled for easy location and inventory. There will be no eating or drinking in the Radio Room. There will be a training class for use of the new console. If you want to use the Radio Room this training class is a must.

Board discussed the following:

• Kids Club Meetings will be placed on the back burner until we have membership that wants to help get it off the ground volunteers to help with kids club can come talk to April.
• 440 repeater is down, Pending repair. Barry states it has been fried. Tony said that he might know someone who can give us a new 440 repeater.
• Denis W1WV is getting ready for Field Day. June 27 an 28th. James and Mike will be getting computers ready to speak to each other. A choice needs to be made on shirts or pins to be given out for field day participation.
• Planning the menu for Field day.
• Discussion for 2009-2010- Cost of dues, Future Board Members, New Committees etc.

Coming SMARA Events for the New Year are as follows:

• If you want Radio room access you MUST come to training class. Museum Basement May 21st at 7pm Sharp.
• The Business Meeting will be upstairs at the museum at 8:00pm Sharp
• We will be having Coffee and Dessert. Everyone who wishes to participate can bring soda and Ice or you can add to the TIP JAR.
• Invention Convention is happening at the Museum May 2-28th.
• Saturday May 9th is East Greenbush HamFest 8am-12noon and at 1pm Field day meeting at the Golden Phoenix.
