SMARA Board Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by President Mike KB2VQS present were President Mike KB2VQS, Vice President James N2UZQ, Treasurer Tim WA2QAC, and April (Secretary), Tony W2BEJ and Becky KC2BYZ, Motion made to accept June Minutes; the minutes were accepted by all board members.

Petty Cash $127.16

Repeater Fund $222.00

Total $1194.16

Radio Room Report

Board discussed the following:

Field Day was successful. We did have a few computer problems due to a Vista problem. Everyone handled the situation well. Everyone felt Field day went smoothly and we received a nice draw of non-ham operators. Some got to operate the GOTA station.

Thank you everyone that helped with set up, transmitting and tear down. We tore down in record time. Kudos to everyone.

We would like to form a committee for next year to raise money to purchase field day equipment. Antenna's and net books ext.

Coming SMARA Events for the New Year are as follows:

July 16 is the next Business/social meeting we will be having Coffee and Dessert. Everyone who wishes to participate can bring soda and Ice or you can add to the TIP JAR.

Club Picnic will be August 8th Noon at Fire Station #2 Shaker Loudonville. People who want to help set up and clean up please meet mike at 10 AM. You will all be getting an email and phone call to remind you about the picnic. Everyone should bring a dish, or chips, or dessert to share. CLUB will supply hamburgers and hotdogs, rolls, and soda. There will be door prices and a 50/50. We will have a table for buy, swap, or sell. There will also be a table for the antique radio club with displays for you to see. Please make sure to see Becky Maloy or Tim Moody for tickets, membership renewals and new memberships.

New Board for next year. We need two people to run the nomination committee for next year's board meeting. If interested please contact any of the board members.
