SMARA Board Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by President Mike KB2VQS, present were James N2UZQ, Tim WA2QAC, Becky KC2BYZ, and April. Motion made to accept August Minutes, Minutes accepted by all board members.

Treasurer Report:

Checking	$1303.67
Petty Cash	$197.45
Repeater Fund	$222.00
Total	$1501.12

SMARA Picnic Report: 8/13/08
This year we had our largest turnout with over 50 members and guests attending. We took in $175. The Club itself paid no money out of pocket this year. Most of Burgers and Hot Dogs were donated.

Coming SMARA Events are as follows:

• ON AIR BUSINESS MEETING 7:30 PM THURSDAY September 11, 2008 146.790
• SOCIAL MEETING Thursday 7:30 pm September 18, 2008 at the Schenectady Museum. We will be having potluck, everybody brings something.
• Public Service Event - Sunday September 7, 2008 Bruegger's Bagel Run 7:30am Location is in Albany at the Jewish Community Center. We need volunteers for this event, which is an exclusive SMARA Public Service Event. It is short in duration. Please contact Tony W2BEJ at w2bej@juno.com or Mike KB2VQS at kb2vqs@yahoo.com we are looking for at least 6 to 7 volunteers. A 5 watt 2 meter ht is required.
• Ballston Spa Hamfest September 13, 2008
• Annual Dinner Thursday October 16, 2008 7pm at the Spa Brauhaus
