SMARA Board Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by President Mike KB2VQS present were President Mike KB2VQS, Vice President James N2UZQ, Treasurer Tim WA2QAC, and April (Secretary), Motion made to accept August Minutes, the minutes were accepted by all board members.

Treasurer Report:

Checking	$699.76
Petty Cash	$347.17
Repeater Fund	$222.00
Total	$1046.93

Food Tips- $44.27

Radio Room Report

Board discussed the following:

• September 12th Saratoga Ham Fest. RAFFLE TICKETS FOR GRUNDIG G-8 SHORTWAVE PORTABLE RECEIVER. Tickets will be on sale $5.00 for one ticket or $20.00 for 5 tickets last chance to get your tickets.
• September 13th Bagel Run. Assignments have been sent out.
• September 17th is the Business/Social meeting- Club is providing PIZZA. Please bring soda, ice or your favorite dessert.
• September 27th Public service for the Altamont Library Fundraiser – Anyone wishing to volunteer needs to contact Mike kb2vqs prior to September 22nd.
• October 3-4 East GreenBush Training and Testing weekend please Sign up if interested. ASAP
• October 15th -Annual Dinner is at Tops Restaurant and Grill- Curry road Rotterdam NY. 6pm happy hour -Dinner at 7pm Awards will be given out. RSVP is MANDATORY. We need to give the restaurant a head count. Contact Mike KB2VQS or 518-986-6186 (leave message) by October 1st. If anyone needs transportation please notify us so we can make arrangements. This is an important end of the year event. Awards will be given out and Elections will be held. YOUR VOTE COUNTS please be there this is your new board you're electing to run your club for 2009-2010.

Coming SMARA Events for the New Year are as follows:

• New Board for next year: Anyone wanting to run for any board position for 2009-2010 needs to let Dave or Tom know. Nomination closed Sept 17th at end of business meeting.
