SMARA Board Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by, Vice President James N2UZQ, Treasurer Tim WA2QAC, and April (Secretary), Tony by conference phone. Motion made to accept August Minutes; the minutes were accepted by all board members.

Treasurer Report:

Checking	$994.68
Petty Cash	$139.93
Repeater Fund	$222.00
Total	$1134.57

Food Tips- $0.00 cleared out by having pizza at the September meeting starting fresh for the New Year.

Treasurer Report accepted by all board members.

Radio Room Report

From Dan Miller: None at this time

Board discussed the following:

• September 27th Public service for the Altamont Library Fundraiser- there were 14 Hams that participated and the people running were very pleased and would like to see us do this again next year.
• October 3-4 East Greenbush Training and testing weekend good luck to everyone taking it.

Coming SMARA Events for the New Year are as follows:

• October 15th -Annual Dinner is at Tops Restaurant and Grill- Curry road Rotterdam NY. 6pm happy hour -Dinner at 7pm Awards will be given out. RSVP is MANDATORY. We need to give the restaurant a head count. Via email or phone to Becky Maloy ASAP If anyone needs transportation please notify us so we can make arrangements? This is an important end of the year event. Awards will be given out and Elections will be held. YOU VOTE COUNTS please be there this is your new board you're electing to run your club for 2009-2010.
• Saratoga Radio Club contacted us wanted to know if anyone is interested in the Mohawk towpath byway Duathlon- Sunday October 18th start time is 8 AM. Anyone interested in this please contact James Mac Murray for information.
• Pumpkin Patrol is October 30-31st. contact Karen Smith KS2O.
